Dethrone Royalty Fight Shorts

•Double velcro enclosure.

•Hidden drawstring.

First Impression- I pulled these shorts out of the envelope that they came in and they were sealed in a plastic bag. I thought that these shorts looked nice and could not wait to give them a try.

Fit and Finish- I got these in a 32 which was the right choice at they fit me without being either too loose or too tight. They have a standard Velcro style closure system with and internal drawstring. All logos on these shorts are embroidered. I noticed that these shorts do not have a split seam which is something that I prefer but sometimes not having one with make the shorts somewhat restrictive. However they do have a stretch panel in the inner seam. I noticed that when I was wearing these that I could shift them around my waist fairly easily. There were no loose threads and these shorts fell to right about knee level. One thing that I definitely liked about these is the nice clean style that they have.

Construction- These shorts are 100% polyester and they are made in Taiwan

Stand up- These shorts worked OK with stand up. I did not feel like there was much restriction in movement but they did shift around my waist some to the point where I had to adjust them more then once. The stretch panel did work well so them not have a split seam was not a problem. As far as any sort of technique goes I did not have any problems. Was able to throw high kick but these shorts did feel a little heavy once they had absorbed moisture.

Ground- To be honest I did not like these on the ground. They both rode up and shifted around my waist. I found myself having to adjust them almost after every roll and sometimes to the point where I became uncomfortable. They would also bunch up in the legs when having someone in my guard. However on a positive note they did not really feel restrictive and the stretch panel worked well.

Overall- These are an OK pair of shorts which for me is more suited for either some light stand up or going to the gym to lift weights. They are made well and they have a nice clean style to them. If you are interested in them pick them up at http://www.dethroneroyalty.com/ for around $55.

**Disclaimer** I received these at no cost for the purpose of review
